It has been a busy week already with good work and good news. This week I was chosen to represent magistrates from across North Carolina on the Advisory Committee for the North Carolina Judicial College at the UNC School of Government. The Advisory Committee brings together public servants from all levels of the judicial branch--from the Chief Justice to Magistrates--to help guide the education of current and future judicial officials. I look forward to the exciting work ahead.

Over the weekend, we finished the first roll-out of the next eCourts initiative. The new Integrated Case Management System, Odyssey, went live in the four pilot counties: Wake, Harnett, Pitt, and Lee. Odyssey replaces multiple platforms for managing different aspects of the court--some created, programmed, and maintained since the 1980s--with a new unified system. Next stop is Mecklenburg County in May of this year. I am thankful for the hands on training and direct experience I have received implementing the new system and guiding my county forward.

Finally, this week held another local leadership meeting where I am working with other Mecklenburg County magistrates and the Chief District Court Judge to design improvements for the Magistrate's Court to implement better efficiency

and technology to better serve all the people of Mecklenburg County.
